RELATED TOPICS/EXPERIENCES: Currently, Larry Pesesky is employed by The Louis Berger Group, one of the leading infrastructure engineering, environmental science and economic development consulting firms in the world. Hired in 1986, Larry is presently the firm’s Senior Vice President of Planning.
He has shaped the firm’s policy and technical guidance for the past twelve years, assessing the indirect and cumulative impacts of transportation projects.
His career has given him in-depth experience in a number of areas related to transportation, but he has focused his work on transportation planning, environmental planning, urban and regional planning, socioeconomics, air quality, noise, and traffic engineering. Leading a transportation planning unit with a staff of 60, he has assisted transportation agencies throughout the country on planning and project development issues , and has published numerous reports that relate to developmental planning.
Throughout his 20 year tenure at The Louis Berger Group, Larry has built upon his experiences and used them to develop more effective policies for transportation planning and project development, especially within the realm of indirect and cumulative impact assessment. He enjoys the challenges of integrating land use considerations into transportation systems planning and project development, and is excited about the opportunity to further his efforts by working with transportation agencies to address issues relating to indirect and cumulative impacts, transportation project planning, and development issues.
